Well, today was the first day of year 2. The year 1's and 2's start today and the littlies in reception start next week. All went well, it was raining of course....no change there then....and we have yet to find our place to stand so that we are in between two classrooms (Ashton is in Willow and David and Ella are in Elm :-( ) and so that we dont get in the way. We are used to having more space as none of the other mums ever used to turn up until they were going in.....
David went in without a hitch as I would have expected. Saw a couple of kids with eyes welling up but this year there were no major tears or wailings which is good!
It was raining again when we picked up the kids, but David had a great day, was given a job - he had to ask the new headteacher if he needed anything out for assembly.... its nice cos they give the year 2's a lot of responsibility in this school and they have to set an example to the younger ones. well, here's back to routine!
