Thank goodness our holiday has finally come, and it couldnt come any sooner! Its been so cold we have been looking forward to going away like you would not believe. Although there is talk of more snow coming on Thursday so I am hoping we are getting away just in time.
Anyway, after a busy morning at work, I left at 1pm and dashed home to get changed while Julian got D from school. Then Mike took us up to Heathrow and we checked in uneventfully. Then upstairs for some substandard food and through to Airside. A quick look round the duty free, bookshops and Boots and it was time to board. Usual lengthy walk to our gate and we were on the plane on our way to Singapore. Unfortunately we left about 45 mins late so I knew we would miss our connection in Singapore.
Good flight, watched Going The Distance which was good and slept pretty well. No whiney babies either so that was good! Food was nice and it went very quickly.
Arrived in Singapore at 3.40 and our flight to Penang was due to leave at 3.45 so no chance there. They put us up in the Riverview Hotel in Havelock Road and paid for taxi, dinner and breakfast so cant complain! We got our room then went up for a swim but it was freeeezing! and then it rained! So we chilled a bit, had a good buffet dinner and got an early night.
