Oh good god, is it 2009 already? I am shocking at filling this thing in. My good friend Enola is embarrasing me by doing great blogs every day. so just a quick catch up, then I promise to be good and carry on...
Christmas hols in the sun were fab. Arrived at Heathrow on the Friday before xmas to find it was very spookily quiet - people must not be travelling due to the credit crunch....well thats all good for us! So after checking in, dropping bags and finding little Sister, complete with new smart Ipod, bright pink white stuff fleece we headed upstairs for a bit of food in the rancid cafe they have up there now, and through for a bit of retail therapy...actually we didnt have too long so it was all good, went to our gate and got on the plane. Julian had his legroom so was in the section behind us. There were about 5 babies and small children in our section that decided it was a good idea to scream/wail/moan/complain/shout for the entire 12 hours which, even though I have a child of my own and really ought to be sympathetic......when you have a child that never did that, and just sits patiently for 12 hours watching TV/playing DS and generally behaving, its not easy to cope with! oh well!
We arrived in Glorious Singapore mid afternoon and had to hot foot it over to Terminal 2 or 3 I cant remember which, to get our smaller flight to Penang on which we had another 5 small chinese babies yelling their heads off........
Arrived in sunny Penang and was greeted by the parents which was fab, got to their new home and went to the Seabreeze Cafe for a delightful dinner by the sea, and then followed by a reasonably early night, good sleep and on with the holiday.

Thus followed days of lying by a completely empty pool in the sun, eating copious amounts of lovely food and satay. Wonderful. Already thinking about next Christmas.
Poor David had a bit of a time of it at the dentist though and had to have a tooth taken out. Seems he had got a bit of food stuck between two teeth and had not been able to get it out for some time, and it had rotted the tooth. The lovely Dentist (Dr Tan) said "root canal or take it out?" so we opted for removal. It was only a milk tooth after all. David was a bit of a state, as he doesnt like injections at the best of time, but he was pretty brave and by the next day it was as if it had never happened. Bless him.
We had a nice lunch at the Eastern and Oriental Hotel on Xmas day. Dave just ate smoked salmon...... then to the park in the afternoon for a play and a walk after opening pressies. Thanks mum and dad for my lime green DS - I love it!
Singapore was a treat - 3 lovely days in the Traders, when we arrived Ails and I went shopping which is tradition, and we went round HMV, Giordanos and the usual places and then had to have a Coffee Bean (their version of Costa) for a Pure Vanilla....We had a nice meal in Ah Hoi's although no-one seemed to like it that much! And that was New Years Eve.....we went to bed at about 11.....

The next day we had lunch in Raffles which was as usual a complete indulgent treat....smoked salmon, sashimi, pan seared duck livers, fois gras, everything you could possibly want......yummy.
The next day we went to Sentosa in the day which has been completely spoiled. such a shame. Then in the evening after a snooze and a swim we went to the Night Safari which was amazing. David loved it, and we walked the trails afterwards and saw lots of animals. Stanley our tour guide was hilarious.And then home....the next day...ya boo sucks.....
